Decent Stay with Room for Improvement
The staff remained upbeat despite being pressed during peak hours. A highlight was the poolside ambiance at sunset, although the area could use more attention. For future guests, consider asking for a room on a higher floor for a better view.

Loved every detail about our special 7 nights stay here. The restaurant here was very nice for breakfast, we both ordered savoury dishes. The service was all in all excellant. Took the advantage of the parking on site. The location was good and ideal: the main shopping centre and shopping centres were within walking distance.

Great stay with friends! We loved our spacious room and the staff were super friendly. From the hotel, we easily visited local markets and the waterfront. Expect a relaxed vibe but note that breakfast can be pricey. Book a room with a view for the best experience!
One downside was the slow check-in process. It took longer than expected for our group to get settled in.

The room was great-sized and recently refurbished with exceptionally comfortable beds as requested. A wide array of food for breakfast, which was outstanding to satisfy everyone. The private parking was on site, friendly service.

Can just recommend for a whistle-stop
Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, and really good service made my stay enjoyable, upgraded with a lovely coffee pod machine and a picturesque outdoor swimming pool to relax by after exploring the city.
Absolutely nothing to criticize.

This is the poorest example of a Novotel hotel. We were totally disappointed. The whole hotel needs to be refurbished. Not only that but it was down right dirty and dusty. Even the plants looked like they have not been well taken care of. The shower floor needed to be scrubbed - we are hoping we do not get a foot infection from it. The toliet kept running and the staff asked us to fix it. We did not bother eating in the restaurant - too expensive and feared food would not have been as good as the cost. I feel that we should have paid half of what we did. What a rip off! Can I get some money back????

Spacious room and delightful staff-who knew a rib fillet could steal the show? But seriously, one lift? A no-show air conditioner?

Location is great - very central with lovely views of Darwin Harbour. Rooms are large, separation between bedrooms in suites is excellent. Parking available off street.
Parking for guests nowhere near sufficient for the number of rooms. I would say that reserving parking in advance would be essential if you want to be sure of a spot. Also, if parking is essential for you - should not make booking until availability of parking confirmed. Street parking is expensive and heavily patrolled in vicinity of hotel.

The staff were friendly and excellent position for sight seeing and shopping.
The hotel has become very dated/run down. We definitely wouldn't rate as 4 star, maximum 3.5. The first room we were given had faulty ceiling fan, lights, bedside radio, exhaust fan in bathroom, mould on ceilings, noisy air conditioner that couldn't keep temp in control and maintenance were working on outside of the building. We were given another room after 2 days which was better but still we wouldn't say was 4 star. Water pressure was only about half of previous room, tap spout on sink was loose and hot tap leaked. The place needs some money spent on it, a lot of cleaning and some TLC. We wouldn't recommend in current state for price but if it was cleaned up and the maintenance issues fixed it's in a great location.

Breakfast menu
It had a temporary pool that was smaller than a suburban backyard pool and there was major building works next door. We were not informed that we could use the hotels pool next door until we complained at reception. The rainforest effect around the interior of the hotel was very musty smelling. Very outdated furnishings - not a 4 and a half star hotel. Also disappointed with the extra we paid for a harbour view.
